Typesetting and Production
The Product and Service
As stated in the history section, our beginnings were in typesetting. During the years we have maintained these skills with experienced personnel, including proofreaders. We still pay attention to the details of kerning, hyphenation, widows, etc. While the tools have changed, the ultimate goals have not.
We still have a number of clients who rely on us to provide this service, or to assist them with their production needs. For example, if you have a style for a newsletter or brochure, but need assistance in laying it out, we can provide this service. We can also create multiple versions, including different languages, using your catalog or other document templates.
The Programs
We are accomplished in using most of the common desktop programs, including, among others:
• QuarkExpress
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe InDesign
The Equipment
We work primarily on Apple MacPros, G5s and G4s, but are also familiar with, and can produce your work on, PC-based equipment, if requested.
